Agios Apostolos Andreas the path of the First Called to Christ

Apostolos Andreas was a fisherman by profession and together with the Evangelist John, in the beginning there were students of John the Baptist.

In fact, one day they were on the banks of the Jordan and Prodromos showed them Jesus and said to them, "Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"

Those two simple fishermen were so moved that without any hesitation and they immediately left their teacher and followed Jesus.

The ungodly viceroy did not give the relic of the Apostle Andrew to the faithful Christians to bury it. But at the end of the day, he lost his mind and committed suicide.
