Testimonies of Pilgrims Saint Paisios the Saint 1924-1994 Volume I

The history of all my efforts, the fruit of which this book has been, is as follows.

I met the blessed one Elder Paisios the 1988.

In the years that followed, listening to pilgrims and Mount Athos fathers narrating various personal experiences about the theophorus Elder, I felt the need to gather these testimonies.

I started the collection with a warm heart, which was painful because it required a lot of time and frequent travel to the places of residence of the people who offered to testify.

Very soon, at the very beginning of my research, I realized the spiritual treasure hidden in the testimonies of the pilgrims.

Because in every testimony one finds answers to various concerns, while at the same time they prepare us, strengthen us and inspire us for the coming, which the Elder repeatedly emphasized that we will live.

Consider, however, a debt to the Mount Athos Elder Paisios and to his Enlightenment, to say with certainty, that in his person were concentrated the variety of apostle, prophet, evangelist, teacher, father, and forefather.

The whole life of the Elder was resurrection. He testified to the Resurrection, that is, he was a type of resurrection, who gave hope to all the people who visited him.

Elder Paisios also had the true gifts of insight, discernment and foresight, of the Intercessor.

This is because Father Paisios lived in humility, love, fasting, unceasing prayer, heartfelt mourning, obedience and frequent participation in the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

That is, it became a vessel of Divine Grace.
