Holy Grail Set.
With the term Chalice or Holy Grail, our Church identifies the two holy vessels, the Holy Chalice and the Holy Chalice, which form a single whole, as they accept the "honest gifts", that is, the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
The Chalice symbolizes the Cup that Jesus Christ used in the Last Supper and in this way foreshadowed the mystery of the Holy Eucharist.
During the offering ceremony, the officiating priest mixes wine with a little water so that it is sanctified and transmuted into the blood of Christ.
The wine and water symbolize the blood and water that flowed from the Lord's side on the Cross when he was pierced with the spear.
