Calendar 2023 of the Holy Monastery of Agia Triada Sparmos

This year's calendar of the Holy Monastery of Agia Triados Sparmou is dedicated to the small church of Agios Nikolaos, which is a share of the Holy Monastery and is located at a distance of about 3 kilometers from it.

When Greece was conquered by the Germans, the conquerors, suspecting that insurgents and war material were hiding in the area of ​​the Monastery and the nearby villages, completely burned the village of Sparmos and the only buildings that were saved from the destruction were the church of Agios Nikolaos and the School .

In recent years, with the manning of our Monastery, this little church has also taken on a new lease of life. The fathers together with the pious inhabitants brought the little church to an enviable form.

It is the duty of all of us to preserve the heritage we have received and pass it on to future generations.

Thus, let this edition be considered as a humble gift to the forefathers of our Holy Monastery, but also to the ancestors of the inhabitants of Sparmos, who kept the candle of Agios Nikolaos lit.
