The first great point, given by the prophet Elijah, was that he prayed and did not rain for three and a half years.

During this time the Prophet κhe was hiding in a cave in a torrent across the Jordan. There was some water there and a crow was feeding him every morning.

When the water dried up, he left the Prophet and he went to Zarephath of Sidonia all this by God's command.

There he stayed with a widow woman, who had a little flour and a little oil, and yet they ate all the time and did not lack.

The widow had a child and happened to get sick and die. Then the Prophet prayed and raised the child.

The second great point, pointed out by the Prophet Elijah, was that he prayed and fire came from heaven.

At the command of King Ahab, four hundred pagan false priests, protected by Jezebel, were gathered.

Then the prophet Elijah challenged them to a contest.

And he said unto him, They have set the wood and the carcase on the altar for a sacrifice; and they ran about, and shouted all day long unto the false god Baal, that he should kindle a fire;

Then the Prophet told them Do it! Now I will make my sacrifice. He made his own altar, put and watered the wood three times with water and then prayed.

Then fire fell from heaven and overturned and burned the whole altar.

After this point, the people caught the four hundred false priests and the prophet Elijah severely punished them.

Jezebel, furious, chased the Prophet and he went up to Horeb, where five hundred years ago Moses heard the voice of God and saw the bush burning and not burning.

There the prophet Elijah was hiding in a cave and God taught him a great lesson. Told him

Climb high to the top, and you will see God. A strong wind will pass; there will be an earthquake; you will see fire and a light and cool breeze will pass.

God will be neither in the storm nor in the earthquake nor in the fire, but in the light breeze.

Other miraculous signs of the prophet Elijah were that he crossed the Jordan River with his apple and finally that instead of dying he ascended with a chariot of fire to heaven.
