Description
Santa Claus and the king pie coin 30 pages
In the years of Julian of Paravat, when Byzantium declared war on Persia, Julian crossed Caesarea with his army.
He then ordered that the whole province be taxed and that he would take this money back to Constantinople. Thus, the inhabitants were forced to give what they all had in gold and coins.
But the virusYlyanos was killed ignominiously in a battle in the war with the Persians and never crossed Caesarea again.
Then the Santa Claus who was Bishop of Caesarea, ordered half of the collected gold to be given to the poor, a small part to the needs of the institutions of the "Kingdom" and the rest distributed to the inhabitants in an original way.
He ordered small loaves to be kneaded and placed one in each coin or gold and then distributed them to the houses. This is how the custom of Vasilopita was born.
This story is told to us in a unique way by Zoe Kanava and her story comes to life through the beautiful images of Christina Papatheou - Douligeris.
The book is small in shape and can also be mailed as a greeting card.
