Archangels Michael and Gabriel 64p. On the Day where we celebrate the Synod of the Holy Archangels, we honor the resistance of the Angels to the miserable and futile betrayal of the Devil in the Holy Trinity.

According the revelation (Rev. 12: 7-9) there was a war in heaven. Michael and his angels clashed to fight the dragon (the benefactor) and his angels.

But the dragon did not succeed,

it was not valid, nor was it found a place to remain in heaven anymore. And the dragon was cast out, the great serpent, the devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast down to the earth, and with him his angels.

With these words the revelation describes the defeat. The fall of the dragon and the devil and the victory of General Michael.

We honor the moment when the Archangel Michael, came forward and stopped the apostasy of the Angels saying

Let us stand well, let us stand after fear.

and all the Angelic Orders exclaimed

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord Savava, full of heaven and earth of Your glory

They confessed the authority and power of God the Father and were established in His ministry near Him.

We celebrate this triumph of the good spirits, led by the Archangel Michael, on November 8.
Since then the dragon, the serpent, the devil wanders the universe.

His apostate forces, says Saint Gregory the Theologian, are creators of evil by avoiding good and consuls of our misery.
